London’s Hottest Chef Pairs with Peru’s Hottest Fruit
Martin Morales runs four of the hottest restaurants in London. And as a native Peruvian, he is steeped in the culinary culture and national pride of the country. He is internationally known as the host of YouTube’s Martin’s Peruvian Kitchen and a well respected author of books featuring his inventive Peruvian cuisine.
Chef Martin is also warm and friendly, a charming on-camera personality and one of the world’s most talked about chef/operators. We recruited him to speak about, and for, one of the foundation ingredients of Peruvian cooking, Avocados from Peru.
The Events
Over a period of a week, Chef Martin treated The Big Apple to a hearty helping of the Big Avocado, beginning with desk side interviews with senior editors at Condé Nast headquarters.
He then prepared and hosted VIP dinners for press and politicians at the home of the Peruvian Ambassador to the United Nations, showcasing the cuisine of Peru and, of course, the Peruvian Avocado.
During the week he taped both radio and television appearances all over town and topped off his busy schedule with a visit to the Fancy Food Show where he shared tips and techniques with leading industry professionals.
Avocados from Peru were at the center of TV segments, online stories and articles generating more than 115,000,000 impressions, building both awareness and culinary credentials for the brand.
Consumers and trade alike were exposed to the Avocados From Peru message through videos, including a story on NBC News, radio segments and articles on The Latin Kitchen, WOR Radio, and key trade publications The Packer, Perishable News and Grocery Headquarters.
Chef Martin Morales continues as a popular television and digital personality, an exceptional restaurateur and a passionate spokesperson for Avocados From Peru.
And as a result of all this publicity, Restaurant Associates hosted a month long Peruvian Avocados festival at their corporate accounts in the tri-state area around New York City, featuring innovative avocado menu items. The RA corporate accounts serve more than 421,000 meals daily, and that’s a lot of avocados.
